What changes when you work through Segment
For the organization
- One procurement process for all vendors: order, confirmation, delivery and invoice, with a full record of every step and of who approved what.
- Invoice control before payment: invoice fields are captured automatically, matched to the order and the delivery note, and duplicates and anomalies are flagged for review.
- Role-based permissions: procurement, finance, warehouses and vendors each see only the information relevant to them.
- Information security at the level healthcare requires: ISO 27001, ISO 27017, SOC 2 and Amendment 13 of the Privacy Protection Law.
For vendors
- All orders from all institutions in one place, in the portal or by direct interface to the vendor’s ERP.
- A clear status for every delivery and every invoice, with no calls to find out what was approved.
- Maccabi Healthcare Services vendors register for the portal with a dedicated form and start working within a short time.
- Early payment after invoice approval, through RTMI.

The challenge
Health organizations work with many vendors of medicines, equipment and services, and handle sensitive information.
They need a fast, controlled procurement process and a check of every invoice before payment, without compromising on information security and privacy.
Control before payment, not after
In healthcare a wrong invoice that gets paid is a double problem: money out, and a long credit process with the vendor. At Segment every invoice is checked before intake: the fields are read automatically from the document, the invoice is matched to the order and the delivery note, and duplicate invoices, unusual amounts and suspicious documents are flagged for review.
AI saves the manual work, but a person approves every action that affects an invoice or a payment. Every approval is recorded, so an audit can see who approved what and when.
Sensitive medical and commercial data, in a secure envelope
The documents between a health institution and its vendors contain sensitive commercial data and sometimes personal data. All communication on the platform is encrypted and recorded, files are kept in a secure archive open to authorized users only, and all traffic is monitored 24/7 by a SIEM/SOC team.
Segment is certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27017, is audited under SOC 2 and meets Amendment 13 of Israel’s Privacy Protection Law. Full details are in the Trust Center.

Frequently asked questions
Can we define who approves what?
Yes. Permissions on the platform are role-based, and every approval of an order or an invoice is recorded with the approver’s name and the time, so the approval process is transparent in an audit too.
Is the information secure?
Yes. Segment holds ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and SOC 2, meets Amendment 13 of Israel’s Privacy Protection Law, and all traffic on the platform is monitored 24/7 by a SIEM/SOC team. More in our Trust Center.
A Maccabi vendor: how do I register?
Active Maccabi Healthcare Services vendors register for the portal with the dedicated registration form. Companies that want to join Maccabi’s vendor pool contact Maccabi’s procurement division directly.
Do you use AI?
Yes: to read invoice data, to match invoices to orders and delivery notes, to detect anomalies and for smart search. A person approves every action that affects an invoice or a payment.
Does the platform connect to our ERP?
Yes. The platform connects to the common ERP systems (SAP, Priority, Oracle, Matrix and others) and supports a range of protocols, such as API, REST, SOAP, SFTP and AS2, so data flows straight into your system with no double typing.
