How does it work?
The vendor takes an early payment and receives money immediately for approved invoices, instead of waiting for standard payment terms (net-60, etc.). It improves the vendor’s cash flow and strengthens the relationship with the paying customer.

Transport Hub: secure message exchange
Transport Hub is where vendors send and receive messages, over a secure infrastructure. All message traffic is fully auditable, end to end.

A full audit trail for every message
Every message sent or received is fully logged: who sent it and who received it, when (with a precise timestamp), and where it came from and went to.
SHA-256 fingerprints
Each message’s SHA-256 hash is recorded, proving the message wasn’t altered in transit. It also supports forensic investigation in line with cyber security standards.
Secure PKI certificate authentication
Connections are authenticated with a digital certificate (PKI), so only authorized parties can send and receive messages.
Resilient against attacks
The infrastructure is protected against DDoS, brute-force and other intrusion methods. Every attempt is monitored by our SIEM/SOC team and reported in real time, and the attacker is blocked.
File sanitization (CDR)
Known file types such as PDF, XLSX and images go through CDR: the content is taken apart and rebuilt without active or malicious elements before it reaches its destination.
Automatic mitigation by hash
Files whose hash matches known vulnerable or malicious files are blocked and mitigated automatically, before they reach their destination.
Anomaly detection
Full monitoring of message traffic detects anomalies and flags them for review.
Automatic retries
A failed transfer is retried automatically, with no manual work, for both outgoing and incoming messages.
Built for high volume
The infrastructure is built for high traffic volumes and growth, without slowing down. The system runs with full redundancy.
Secure interface file transfer (S-Trans)
File transfers with Segment’s servers use SFTP, with authentication based on a username and a private signing key (PKI) installed on the sending computer — no passwords. Two connection options:
Self-Managed
For organizations that already connect this way with other parties, or that run their own file-sync system. Segment provides server addresses, a username and a PFX digital-signature file.

S-Trans Managed Service
